That being said, I'll give it my best shot.
I was sooo afraid for Roy the whole chapter. Especially when Riza had that meaninful look at Roy's back, because then I just knew that the "shoot him in the back" thing was going to come into play at last. D: When that first came up in the manga, I wasn't actually sure if or how Arakawa was going to use it, because why would Roy of all people lose his way? But now with this taking revenge on Envy thing, Roy is losing himself to rage and hatred....just brilliant.
I love how vengeance and sacrifice aren't seen as the right thing in this manga. As I began to see what Roy was becoming, I didn't want him to be the one to finish off Envy anymore. I wanted Riza to do it instead (and omg she was awesome in this chapter). Now I see why Kimbley was killed off the way he was; to have Scar kill him would have gone against this theme and Scar's own character development.
Speaking of which, omg Ed and Scar. Awesome. Awesome awesome awesome. ;___; Just a while ago Ed hated the idea of working with Scar, but now they're teaming up to stop Roy because he knows Scar would understand, and Scar has developed enough to recognize what Roy is going through and know that it's wrong.
Oh my god I love these characters so much. ;___; They've come so far.
Also, the beginning pages. Can you say EPIC? I feel so bad for Bradley's wife. SO BAD. D: Her husband and son are both homunculi and she has no idea what's really going on but she's worried sick for them. And Roy-tachi using the radio to broadcast all over the nation! So many cameos! You're right, Denny, that's Maria you're hearing! ;_; And LOL the mass media is just loving this. And OMG TANKS IN THE STREETS! GO BRIGGS!
GAH. I just....I love this manga so much. ♥♥♥
Oh, and lolalol already pointed this out, but LOL. Actually, it's not all that funny because the situations are vastly different, but still. My fandoms are crossing over again whut.
