Watching anime: Some new, some slightly old

I didn't have anything to do today after classes, so I just watched anime. I checked out two new ones- Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and Toward the Terra.

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Episodes 1-5:

HAHAHAHA. This is MESSED UP. I love it. XD Nothing like killing off your main characters in horrifyingly gruesome ways in the fourth episode and then bringing them back to life in the next like none of it ever happened. I assume all the story arcs are like this? That's hilarious. And the sudden switches in tone from cutesy and lighthearted to seriously scary and downright freaky, then back to cute's great. XD

Toward the Terra Episodes 1-4:

Hmmm, this is a pretty good scifi series. I think at this point I'm more impressed with the presentation than the story, because while watching I was like "OMG EPIC" but thinking back on it now, it doesn't stand out too much compared with other scifi stories. But it's too early to judge it yet because these episodes were just setting things up. Though I'd like to note that I really don't mind the style at all; the character designs used in Gundam Seed and Code Geass, for example, annoy me more than the 'retro' look used here.

BACCANO! Episode 6:

Don't have much to say here, because I've already spoiled myself on the identity of the Rail Tracer among other things. D: Still enjoying it though! I heart Jacuzzi and co. still. ♥ Ennis was also pretty cute and awesome in this episode. We get more pieces of the puzzle to make sense of the events in the previous episodes. And I suppose what happened at the end means Dallas becomes immortal too? Next episode seems to have a flashback in the 1700's yay!

I've got a lot to say about Ep. 23 of Darker than BLACK, so I'll make that into a separate post later. And randomly, I'm amused how this thread has gone so off topic that we're just talking about food now. XD
