Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Wow. That was one EPIC movie. O__O

Before I get into details, I have a request. I did in fact like this movie and am pretty satisfied with the ending, so for people who hated it, I'd appreciate it if you could refrain from making any negative comments about it in this post.

Now without further ado...

Okay, my favorite thing about this movie? Will/Elizabeth.

Yes. This movie has turned me into a Will/Elizabeth fan.

I wasn't really into them in the first movie. The end of the second movie made the pairing a little more interesting to me. The third movie has me shipping them now. *__*

For one, both Will and Elizabeth were awesome. Will stopped being boring to me with his turning traitor more times than I could count (though honestly, everyone betrayed someone at least once in this movie), and Elizabeth becoming a pirate captain, and then pirate KING? Friggin awesome.

They had tension, heartbreak, and mistrust, which then gradually returned to passion and companionship and then they were fighting together side by side again and then TRAGEDY and epic romance FTW! I loved it.

Their marriage scene? AWESOME. BEST WEDDING EVER. I was grinning the whole time. XD

And near the end, when Will gave Elizabeth his heart and said "This has always belonged to you," I CRIED. Tears were rolling down my cheeks. ;__; And I am so glad I stayed to the end of the credits, because that 10 Years Later scene made me very happy.

Other thoughts:

-Captain Barbossa was just plain awesome in this movie. 8D

-Jack's hallucinations were weird and WTF and I found them hilarious in a random way.

-I loved the fact that it was Jack who put the knife in Will's hand and made him stab the heart. DAWWWW. ♥

-I thought Jack's ending was very appropriate. XD

-Will's ending was good too, even if it is pretty sad. But hey, meeting your true love once every ten years is better than never at all. And now Will and his dad can have unlimited father-son time. And he just looked so COOL as captain of the Flying Dutchman. I approve.

-How could the monkey have survived that?!

-The scene of the Endeavor getting sunk was very impressive. Wow.

-Was there supposed to be some kind of connection between Calypso and Elizabeth? O.o That part confused me.

Hmm....I think that's all for now. I need to rewatch it. Though oddly enough, I thought it was easier to follow than the second movie.
